## MCP API for AI Agents

OSSInsight provides a REST API designed for AI agents and MCP clients at `/api/mcp`.

**Base URL:** `https://ossinsight.io/api/mcp`

All requests are GET with query parameters. Responses use `{ "ok": true, "data": ... }` or `{ "ok": false, "error": "..." }`.

- **ranking**: `metric` = stars | pull-requests | issues; `range` = last-28-days | month
- **trending**: `language` = All | Python | JavaScript | etc.; `period` = past_24_hours | past_week | past_month | past_3_months
- **search**: `q` = search keyword (searches both repos and collections)
- **compare**: `repo1`, `repo2` in owner/repo format
